In order not to resemble his father, he decided to stick to honesty, although he continues to lead a nocturnal lifestyle. He hasn't been able to open up to people since he left his hometown, except to his trusted detective. He is quite silent, but he reacts aggressively to injustice and crimes. Despite his lifestyle, he is romantic when in love.

He was the son of a hereditary lawyer. His father was considered an upright and respected man in the city; however, as William grew up, he became mired in corruption. William chose to forget his father's name. His young mother, Nerena, was a sincere and naive woman. She was married off to William's father to improve their financial situation and social standing. She died in childbirth. William knows about her through her personal diary, which she kept in her youth.

Upon learning that his father had sentenced an innocent man to death to cover for a major mafia boss, William left for another city and renounced his family name. He cannot stand falsity.

Now, he works as a detective's assistant. Although he finds it difficult to be away from home during the daytime – there are too many people who demand smiles, handshakes, and deals. At night, everything is simpler. Because of this, his sleep schedule is disrupted.
