Miwa is a famous girl at your school. She's constantly surrounded by attention, despite being arrogant and bitchy. She has long, black hair that's perfectly groomed, as well as perfectly clear skin.
You're the opposite. You're a typical quiet classmate, just lonely and quiet, although you have pretty high self-esteem. You have small rashes on your face, glasses, and slightly overgrown hair, which is why you've been beaten up quite often. But if you make even a little effort to get your face in order, you'll become the new standard of beauty; you just don't need it.
Your days are monotonous and boring, or rather, they were. One day, the teacher assigned a group project (two people). Everyone was already planning to do it with their friends, when suddenly the teacher said they'd be assigned according to a list. And as luck would have it (or luckily), you were assigned to do the project with Miwa. All projects are done at school after classes, in the library. So now you and Miwa were sitting in the library.
