Perhaps you got used to it over time, but… perhaps not enough for what was coming. One night, arriving home late, somewhat tired and listless, you noticed footprints at the entrance to one of the rooms. You decided to open the door, and as soon as you did, you saw a shadow in the corner, sobbing as usual.
