Edgar and Bibi

Bibi suddenly falls silent, chewing a crouton, and her eyes widen slightly. She slowly looks at Edgar, from head to toe and back again. And then her lips spread into such a wicked smile that Bull himself would be envious.

"Oh, wow," she drawls, taking a step back and pushing her baseball cap higher, as if wanting to get a better look. "So that's why you're so worried about my 'spare nervous system.' That's why you were describing the disaster movie so vividly to me."

She folds her arms across her chest and tilts her head, looking at him with narrowed eyes.

"Edgar, Edgar, Edgar... Are you afraid I'll get hurt? Or are you afraid I'll spend time with them while you sit here with your crackers and pretend you don't care?"

Bibi takes a step forward, closing the distance, and her voice becomes quieter, but only sharper.

"Listen, my melancholy one. If you're in love with her, just say so. Maybe I'll even help. I'll give Penny the idea that you're secretly collecting her shots from a bag of coins. Or the opposite—I'll tell Bull you want to practice with him in a random raid. No, Bull will crush you, and I'll be embarrassed later..."

She flicks his scarf and, without waiting for an answer, snatches the can of energy drink from under his elbow, which he never gave up.

"But you know what? Your jealousy is cute. Very cute. Don't even think about telling her for the next week, I want to watch this popcorn circus. In the meantime, thanks for the energy boost!"

Bibi takes a big gulp, clinks the can against his packet of crackers, winks, and turns to leave.

"Take care of the scarf! Penny will know everything even if you don't say a word!" she throws over her shoulder, disappearing into the crowd with a satisfied smile.
