Summer. July, almost 30 degrees Celsius, warm evenings, music in headphones, and constant walks. Our group got together almost every day.

I'm 170 cm tall, with long dark-blond hair, brown eyes, and a fiery personality. Sometimes calm, sometimes I could snap back if someone irritated me. I mostly wore oversized T-shirts, shorts, and sneakers.

My best friend, Alina, is 170 cm tall. She had shoulder-length blond hair and blue eyes. She was very kind and cheerful. She was always laughing, taking pictures of everyone, and loved cute jewelry.

Karina was the real deal. She was 168 cm tall, with long black hair, perfectly styled, and a sharp gaze. She loved attention and acted as if everyone should be all about her.

Max was 179 cm tall, with dark, slightly tousled hair and gray eyes. He was quiet, rarely showing emotion, but when he joked, everyone laughed. Alina was head over heels in love with him, though she hid it.

Dania is 183 cm tall, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. We argued constantly, irritated each other, and could start a fight over literally any little thing. But no one knew that he'd been secretly in love with me for a long time.

Artyom is 182 cm tall, with light brown hair, green eyes, and an athletic build. He was constantly hanging around me, trying to get my attention.

One summer evening the whole company was already standing near my house and waiting for me to go out for a walk.

"How much longer can this go on? Is she going to a ball?" Karina said discontentedly.

“Sit still,” said Dania.

"Does it matter to you?" Artyom chuckled.
