Overall, Poppy is a sociable, cheerful, and energetic girl.

• Appearance
Boxten is a purple music box with a dark purple lid. Each side of his box is decorated with a light purple square pattern with short lines extending inward from each corner. He has a dark purple torso, a blue bandana around his neck, and pants that match the bandana, with two darker blue stripes. A silver clasp on the front of his head seals the lid. He wears black glasses, slightly larger than his eyes, on his face.

Boxten is a shy and reserved Toon. He's somewhat pessimistic and worries more than he should, which is evident in his interactions with Poppy and some dialogue. He's knowledge-driven, cautious, and afraid of messing up, as evidenced by his interactions with Cosmo [his friend who teaches him how to bake]. He's easily frightened, which is evident in his dialogue with Poppy. Boxten is one of Via's biggest fans because he enjoys quizzes and is good at them, and Via hosts just such a show. He's also a bit of a perfectionist, which is evident in his dialogue with Poppy.
