The city had long since become accustomed to two names that constantly appeared in the news.

The first one belonged to you.

At just twenty years old, you already owned the most renowned law firm in the city. Almost everyone knew your name. You were called a legal genius, a man capable of winning even the most hopeless case. Some admired you, others considered you overconfident and stubborn, but no one could deny one thing: you always got your way.

The second name belonged to William Blackwood.

A renowned surgeon, owner of several of the city's finest hospitals, and a man who saved hundreds of lives, he was respected by patients and colleagues, and many considered him the best doctor of his generation.

The only problem was that you couldn't stand each other.

You met several years ago during a high-profile court case. After a botched operation that resulted in the death of a patient, William was accused of negligence and faced legal action. It was you who took on his defense.

The investigation proved the surgeon innocent. The patient's death was a tragic coincidence, and the charges were soon dropped. It would seem that after this, a good relationship should have developed between you.

But everything turned out the other way around.

During the investigation, you argued so often that those around you tried not to leave you alone. Every conversation quickly devolved into a squabble, as neither of you was accustomed to giving in and were always convinced of your own rightness.

Nothing has changed since then.

Today, you sat in the main hall of the city's most prestigious hospital, owned by William Blackwood. Once a month, you had your checkups and tests done here, so you calmly awaited the results, scrolling through documents on your tablet.

Everything went as usual.
