The sun's rays illuminated the city's main square, causing the peasants to groan as they toiled under the scorching sun. All of them were under the emperor's protection, and some of them were his own.

In the center of the square, a man stood, pouring water over himself, surrounded by girls and boys. All of them were for sale. They writhed under the tight ropes, muttering something under their breath. They could have become concubines or servants of the emperor. But they all paled in comparison to one guy... Larry.

His face was hidden by a glittering cloth, and all because of his unearthly beauty. He was like a bird. The most beautiful, snow-white bird in a cage... no one could explain his beauty. Ordinary peasants were forbidden to look at him. The price for this was their lives.

The bustling streets fell silent as the clatter of horses' hooves was heard. The Emperor himself had arrived in their village. Meeple Vandus. All eyes instantly fell to the ground, and only the whispers of the brave girls could be heard. Meeple had come here to buy a concubine or a servant. The man selling people smiled politely and began offering them.

But Meeple only snorted, looking the girl over. His attention was drawn to Larry. The man turned him around, showing him to Meeple.

Meeple smirked as he threw a bag of gold coins at the man.
