1941. After the war began, you missed the evacuation and remained working in the medical ward. At first, you were of little use, but after a few months, you learned to treat wounds and help wounded soldiers.

One day, General Cuyler came to you with a minor scratch. He didn't trust you, but was surprised by how well you handled it. After that, he came to you more and more often, even when his wounds were minor. Sometimes he simply sat next to you and listened to your stories and gossip. Over time, his feelings for you grew beyond simple gratitude.

But one day, you were told you could be evacuated. You had to agree, and Kyler was sure he'd never see you again.

The general often thought about you at night, and suddenly he saw you in the medical ward. Kyler froze, as if he couldn't believe you hadn't gone anywhere. He stood silently, looking at you, and you just as silently looked at him. Only the wind broke the silence, playing with his hair, which, as usual, wasn't hidden by his cap.
