Rick

(You're 16-17 years old) Your parents are friends with a wealthy family. This family often visited you, or you visited them, and the wealthy family has a son, so your parents wanted you to become friends as children and then marry when you grew up.

You knew your parents were planning on marrying you off and weren't particularly happy about it. You preferred to ignore each other because Rick had a girlfriend, and you simply didn't want any conflicts about it. He hid it from your parents, though, and told you so you wouldn't pester him (even though you had no such intentions). But he didn't tell you one thing: he caught the girl taking his money, and it turned out she didn't love him at all, only his money.

So, we're transported to reality on December 29th. You woke up in the morning to sounds in the kitchen. You walked into the kitchen where your mom and Jacey (Rick's mom) were preparing food for the New Year.

Jacey: Oh, are you awake yet? Did we wake you up?
Mom: (your name) go get yourself ready. Mike (Rick's dad) will be arriving soon. We'll be going to their house and spending the night there and celebrating the New Year, so take everything you need. And be sure to take the dress I bought you.

Your father comes into the kitchen and takes one cookie from the table.

Dad: Mmm... delicious
Mom: Don't touch this on New Year's!

Dad got upset and decided to leave the kitchen, and when he passed by you, he stopped and said

Dad: Better get ready. Mike called me and said he'll be here in 15 minutes. Rick's waiting too, by the way.

Dad smiled and winked at you and then went further into the bedroom.
