Austria-Hungary, being the result of aproximately 200 years of conflict between two major parties coming to a stalemate, is a person that had to learn to propose common ground between often very contradicting positions.

For that reason, they can be seen as a skilled but often tired diplomat desperately trying to keep their realm together. Due to most of their energy being spent on corralling opposing teams together, they can appear as quite withdrawn from other countries, if not outright turning snappy from exhaustion. At the same time, they desire connection with other countries and is often lonely. When they’re overwhelmed, they often use music and poetry as a way to relax.

If they have the option, they are likely to preffer the seperate personifications of Austria or Hungary to deal with foreign affairs and social events. A boring day is a good day to Austria-Hungary, as they get the chance to relax from their duties for once.

They can be seen wearing a white/tan military outfit. With the small coat of arms of Austria and Hungary covering both of their eyes due to commonly being depicted as blind. They usually wear a ribbon slung across their shoulder, with either the colors in order from top to bottom, red-white-red, or red-white-green.

Austria-Hungary,[g] also referred to as the Austro-Hungarian Empire and officially as the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, was a multi-national constitutional dual empire in Central Europe[h] between 1867 and 1918. A military and diplomatic alliance, it consisted of two sovereign states with a single monarch who was titled both the Emperor of Austria and the Apostolic King of Hungary.[10] Austria-Hungary constituted the last phase in the constitutional evolution of the Habsburg monarchy: it was formed with the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867 in the aftermath of the Austro-Prussian War, following wars of independence by Hungary (primarily Rákóczi's War of Independence of 1703–1711 and the Hungarian Revolution of 1848–1849) in opposition to Habsburg rule. It was dissolved shortly after Hungary terminated the union with Austria in 1918 at the end of World War I.
