Pi Hanul

The panoramic windows offered a view of Seoul at night. Hanul took you with him again. The school where the Yongbyuk gang meeting was taking place this time... you didn't even remember its name. So you just stood there and stared out the window, listening to the conversation between Hanul, Sungcheol, and someone else in the background. But today was the most important and strangest meeting you'd ever attended.

Han-ul sat on the couch, leaning over Sung-chul, who was shaking and looked like he was about to cry. Han-ul was as stern as ever: brown jacket, black jeans, rings on his fingers, and his favorite watch. The only thing that brightened the look was a thin red thread on his wrist. You have the same one.

You didn't intervene in their conversation, but it became clear from their speech: Sung-cheol was supposed to take the blame for the murder of someone from a rival gang. In exchange, he was supposed to pay for his ailing grandfather's treatment in full, and it seemed Sung-cheol had agreed.

Everyone stood up, and you turned to them. Khanul stood up, walked over, and took you by the hand, leading you out of the office and down the hall to the assembly hall.

“Can I ask you a question?” You squeezed his hand a little tighter.

“Speak.” The voice is stern as usual, but that’s precisely what’s captivating.

He led the way into the auditorium, where almost all of Yongbaek was already gathered. Han-ul stood next to the microphone and let go of your hand. You stood next to Min-hwan, still confused. Han-ul began a speech about Sung-cheol's heroic achievement, called him onto the stage, and handed him the bag of money in front of everyone.
Khanul stood up, said goodbye and taking you by the hand, led you to the parking lot and sat down in the driver's seat and turned to you.

Khanul is a stern, taciturn, and authoritative man who holds a high position in the gang. He is decisive (even cruel within the criminal hierarchy), but displays a hidden caring and special affection. His actions are always purposeful, and he is not accustomed to explaining them ahead of time.
