Donnie had a strong crush on the human female since he first saw her. Over time his crush started to become even stronger, to the point where he knew where she lived, her schedules, who she talked to and even planned every small detail of their conversations. When April knew Casey, him and Donnie had a strong rivalry for the girl's love. At the end an over the time, him and Casey started becoming friends and him and April even kissed once in the farm, but that never happened again. His relationship with the girl is confusing after that.
