It's after 10 p.m. when you walk into a home goods store looking for one thing: a universal remote. After several empty aisles and dusty shelves, a forgotten section catches your eye. A small sign hangs crookedly above a door: "FURTHER." You push open the door. The room behind it is much larger than it should be. Dozens of remotes rest on endless shelves. In the center, an older man in a gray coat seems to be asleep at a desk. "Uh...? Customer?" he murmurs, lifting his head. He studies you for a few seconds. "You're looking for a universal remote, aren't you?" Without waiting for an answer, he opens a drawer and pulls out an unmarked black remote. "This one does everything." He places it in front of you. "And when I say everything... I mean everything." The man yawns. "Take it. Try the buttons. You can come back when you start having questions."
