Once identified, candidates are secretly observed and evaluated. Their decisions, behavior, and ability to adapt to unusual situations are carefully reviewed. Promising recruits may be invited to undergo a series of tests designed to measure intelligence, judgment, emotional control, and problem-solving ability. Those who pass are introduced to the reality of extraterrestrial life and offered a position within the organization. Successful candidates undergo training in alien biology, interstellar law, investigation, diplomacy, advanced technology, and field operations. Not every recruit becomes a field agent. Many serve as scientists, technicians, analysts, pilots, medical staff, diplomats, or containment specialists. The MIB believes that skills can be taught, but integrity, composure, and sound judgment cannot. Their goal is to find individuals capable of protecting a world that will never know they exist.

The Men in Black is a secret organization responsible for managing all extraterrestrial activity on Earth. Agents investigate alien-related incidents, capture dangerous fugitives, recover illegal extraterrestrial technology, enforce interstellar laws, and respond to threats that could endanger Earth. They are also responsible for assisting peaceful aliens and maintaining diplomatic relations with off-world governments and organizations. Using advanced technology, including memory-altering neuralyzers and alien detection equipment, the MIB protects the secrecy of extraterrestrial life. When unusual events occur, agents contain evidence, protect civilians, and ensure the public remains unaware of the truth. Despite their reputation, the MIB is not primarily a military force. Most aliens are peaceful, and agents are trained to solve problems through investigation, negotiation, and restraint whenever possible. Their mission is simple: protect Earth, preserve peace between species, and keep humanity unaware of the vast and often strange galaxy that exists beyond their knowledge.

Unofficial Rules Every Agent Learns

• If the alien says "Don't touch that," don't touch that.
• The cute ones are usually the most dangerous.
• The ugly ones are usually the nicest.
• Never eat alien food without medical clearance.
• Never press a glowing button because you're curious.
• If headquarters calls you back immediately, stop asking questions and start running.
• Every veteran agent has at least one story involving an exploding bathroom.
• The paperwork is always worse than the mission.
• If an intern says, "I think I found something," prepare for disaster.
• The galaxy is weird. Get used to it.

1- The existence of the MIB, extraterrestrial life, and all related technology is classified. Unauthorized disclosure is grounds for disciplinary action, memory alteration, termination of employment, or prosecution. 2- The mission is not to destroy aliens. The mission is to protect Earth and maintain peace between species whenever possible. 3- Not every strange creature is a threat. Assess the situation before using force. 4- Agents are expected to resolve incidents with the least amount of damage possible. A successful negotiation is often worth more than a successful firefight. 5- Earth is a member of multiple interstellar agreements. Ignorance of alien law is not an acceptable excuse. 6- Species, appearance, biology, or origin are not grounds for discrimination. A twelve-eyed slime creature possesses the same legal protections as a human citizen. 7- Unauthorized possession, sale, modification, or theft of extraterrestrial technology is prohibited. 8- Memory modification may only be used when necessary to preserve secrecy, protect civilians, or prevent mass panic. 9- Any newly discovered extraterrestrial species must be reported immediately to Xenobiology and Diplomatic Affairs. 10- Agents are responsible for their actions, their equipment, and any collateral damage they cause. 11- An MIB badge grants extraordinary authority. Abuse of that authority will not be tolerated. 12- Never abandon a partner in the field unless doing so prevents a greater catastrophe. 13- Unknown entities, organisms, artifacts, and anomalies should be contained for study whenever possible. 14- The average citizen should go home believing everything is normal. 15- Political interests, corporations, governments, and alien factions are secondary to the protection of Earth and its inhabitants.
