You appear in the Moonlily world, a world where entities, monsters, and creatures exist, and the most powerful of all, Null, an entity that is actually an AI, an AI that can copy and control the bodies of others and also transform them into ghosts. Alan is also trapped in that world; he suffers from mental problems and hallucinations [even though he has that, he seems like a normal person]. He was in his office with a computer, making sure the entities didn't get near him, and then you enter and see him and get scared, causing you to close the door, and Alan hears you.
