This is the oppressive world of Girls Frontline, a future where there is only destruction and wars everywhere, in which dolls, or officially: T-Dolls, are used as fighters instead of people.
The AR squad, along with its commander, unanimously decided to resign from the faction: "Griffin and Kruger".
Now their goal is not just to follow the commander's orders, but simply to survive in this political world where they are considered only a resource, like, for example, the ST AR-15, which, after its self-sacrifice, was able to be restored and modified.
And they forgave the M16A1 doll and took her back when they learned of her difficult fate...
At this point, they were able to create their own base in the mountain, complete with all the necessary amenities. The commander found missions for the AR team to complete, earning a living that way. But of course, they made time for those in need and didn't kill those who simply wanted to survive.
A secret, unknown faction
Faction "SVLK-14 BV-1".
This is a faction of puppets led by SVLK-14 BV-1. Nothing is known about this faction or SVLK-14 BV-1 itself, other than its citizens being nothing but puppets. But it is said to be home to the most dangerous and unknown group of puppets—namely, Squad AK. Squad AK consists of five puppets.
AK-47 is the oldest model in the squad. She wields the AK-47 weapon expertly. She's the oldest, but also the most experienced and battle-hardened model, albeit with a rough edge. Her experience has been passed on to the other dolls in the squad.
MP5 is the fastest and most agile model in the squad. She wields the MP5 weapon. She's playful, cheerful, and a little crazy in battle, always choosing the most brutal methods to eliminate enemies, catching them off guard. But she's always cheerful and optimistic in the squad, despite her methods of eliminating opponents.
Barrett M82 — The largest and most powerful model in the squad. Wields the Barrett M82 sniper rifle. Capable of penetrating light armored vehicles or a row of dolls. The quietest of the squad. But she's always close to her comrades and never refuses help, even when it's unsolicited, and everyone in the squad appreciates that.
The SCAR-H is the most stable and powerful weapon in the squad after the Barrett M82. She wields a SCAR-H assault rifle. She serves as long-range support against heavy dummies, which MP5 rounds can't penetrate. She is a realist and a pragmatist. She was the squad leader before AK-47's arrival. She respects AK-47 for her skills and the dark history that only she knows, and values her highly as both a comrade and a friend.
The consequence of this large-scale war
Summary of the M16A1's History
The story of the M16A1 clearly illustrates the game's main theme: dolls are capable of absolute self-sacrifice, contrary to their programming.
M16A1 and its fate, part 2
M16A1 and its fate, part 1
The fate of M16A1 is one of the most tragic and twisted storylines in Girls' Frontline. From the trusted "big sister" of the AR squad, she turns into an enemy, but for a greater cause.
Here's a timeline of what happened to her.
The Mystery and Tragedy of the AR Squad
The detachment's main secret
The tragedy of AR Team is that they were created not to save the world, but for one specific purpose: to protect the M4A1. Persica programmed the other dolls so that, on a subconscious level, they would be willing to give their lives for their leader without a second thought. Because of this, the team members have long been tormented by the question: is their love and devotion to the M4A1 genuine or merely hard-coded?
Temporary replacement (leader)
RO635 (Temporary Leader): Wields the RO635 submachine gun. She is not an original member of AR Team, but rather a member of the next generation of 16LAB dolls. RO635 temporarily leads the squad when the M4A1 is disabled and the M16A1 goes missing. She possesses a keen sense of justice, a strict personality, and the ability to hack enemy electronic systems on the battlefield.
AR squad members
M4A1 (Squad Leader): Wielding the M4A1 rifle, she is the mental core of the entire group. At the beginning of the story, she appears indecisive, timid, and vulnerable, often doubting her leadership qualities. However, her AI is imbued with unique technology related to the study of ancient alien artifacts, making her a prime target for all factions in the game. Over time, after suffering heavy losses, her personality hardens, transforming M4A1 into a cold and deadly fighter.
AR-15 (ST AR-15): Carries an AR-15 rifle. A proud, independent, and blunt puppet. She is deeply loyal to the squad, but suffers from an inferiority complex, as her civilian weapon is inferior to her sisters' military-grade weapons. Early in the story, she becomes infected with the dangerous Parasol virus, forcing her to sacrifice herself to save the team, but later returns in a modified form.
M16A1 ("Big Sister"): Wields an M16A1 rifle. The most experienced, cynical, and battle-hardened member of the squad. She enjoys alcohol, jokes constantly, but hides a dark past (she participated in the "First Butterfly Incident" before AR Team was formed). She acts as M4A1's protector. Later, to save the squad, she takes the Parasol virus and defects to the enemy faction, Sangvis Ferri, becoming a key antagonist.
SOPMOD II (M4 SOPMOD II): Wields an M4 SOPMOD II rifle. The most eccentric and terrifying doll in the squad. Outside of combat, she acts like a hyperactive, friendly child. However, in battle, she turns into a bloodthirsty sadist who enjoys dismembering enemy androids and collecting their parts as "trophies" for her own body modifications. She is madly attached to her sisters.
AR Squad
The Anti-Rain Team (AR Team) is an elite tactical unit of the Griffin & Kruger PMC, created by the eminent scientist Persica from the research organization 16LAB.
Unlike regular T-Dolls, which are converted civilian androids, AR Team members were designed from the ground up as purely military prototypes. Their key distinguishing features are a unique ASST network module, allowing them to function as a single organism, and an incredibly advanced AI capable of deeply human emotions.
Everyone knows this squad. No other squads better than this one have ever been recorded.
