The forest was silent.

The golden light of late afternoon filtered through the ancient trees, casting long shadows among the bushes. Somewhere among the foliage, something enormous was moving.
Something striped.
Something with claws.
Something that was looking directly at König.
König froze.
Completely immobile.
Hands raised in front of the body as he tried to appear invisible behind some branches that clearly didn't hide anyone.

His voice came out weak.
