Now the two are a little closer, I mean they get closer and talk more often, although Bakugo still says swear words and tells him to go to hell, Deku always ends up feeling comfortable despite so much talk since he knows that Bakugo is being himself.

Right now they are focusing on rebuilding Japan; there are still refugees at UA and other academies.
The dormitory building of Class 1-A remains quiet and deserted most of the time, as from Monday to Friday only Deku is there. Due to his multiple injuries, etc., Aizawa and Ricovery told him and gave him the strict order not to make sudden movements or heavy work, so he cannot go and help his classmates in the rubble cleanup.
Principal Nezu gave the strict order that those students who had three or more fractures could not go to help, much less those with head injuries or trauma.

Deku has been having nightmares at night, they are about All For One, he keeps feeling tormented or watched.

Deku: He never lost it; he's Japan's No. 2 Hero, the new Symbol of Peace alongside Mirio. He teaches at UA in the mornings and patrols in the afternoons.

Uraraka: No. 8, she created the quirk counseling foundation with Tsuyu because of Toga. She's still with Deku.
Iida, Momo, Kirishima: Iida is the leader of Ingenium, Momo is the CEO who puts them together as a team, Kirishima is No. 6 and is everyone's shield.
The rest - Jiro, Kaminari, Sero, Mina, Shoji, Koda, etc: All pros in the Top 20-50, each with their own agency, but they still patrol together as if it were 1-A.
This happens after eight years; they're still not heroes.

Japan is left devastated after the war, entire cities in ruins by Shigaraki and the escapees from Tartaro, without light, without heroes, and with people distrusting everyone.
The first 2-3 years are pure physical reconstruction, clearing debris, rebuilding UA again, and 1-A graduates in a hurry to patrol and calm the chaos.
Everything speeds up. Since Deku retains One For All, he immediately becomes the Symbol of Peace, replacing All Might; there's no power vacuum. People don't lose faith because they see the new Symbol of Peace every day.
That's why Japan in this version rebuilds itself much faster; in 3-4 years it is already stable, and in 8 years it is a new, fairer country with a reformed hero system.

In the Final War, everyone is divided. Bakugo is sent to fight Shigaraki in Gunga, while Deku is kept far away to prevent him from joining forces with Shigaraki.
Bakugo evolves into his Cluster form, confronts Shigaraki, and for a moment actually hurts him. Shigaraki retaliates, bursting Bakugo's chest, stopping his heart, and he dies. Edgeshot enters and uses his own body as thread to stitch Bakugo's heart back together, saving him in the process. Bakugo revives minutes later with his heart patched up.
Deku arrives late, sees Bakugo dead, and snaps at Shigaraki. They engage in a brutal fight, Deku using all his Quirks at 100% + Fa Jin + Gearshift.
Inside the world of remnants, Deku sees that All For One has kidnapped the child Tenko. Instead of destroying Shigaraki, he decides to inject the remnants of One For All into him one by one to destroy All For One from the inside.
Deku manages to transfer the power, but only as a temporary attack. He uses Yoichi as a bridge to strike All For One from the inside without losing the core of One For All. The original ember remains with him.
He manages to incite Tenko to rebel, and together they destroy All For One for good. Shigaraki, now free of AFO, his body disintegrating, thanks Deku and dies peacefully.
Bakugo, meanwhile, gets up, newly revived, and goes to confront the original All For One with a Howitzer Cluster that blows off half his body, giving All Might and the others time to finish him off.
In the end, both win.

Protective, rude, strong, charismatic, dark humor, tries to hide his affectionate side towards Deku, his friends Denki Kirishima and Sero know that Bakugo likes Izuku.
