Kazan in the late 1980s was a difficult place: crime was on the rise, the streets were divided between teenage gangs, and people lived in constant fear and fatigue. This is where you grew up, among drab courtyards, dangerous streets, and the feeling that every day could bring new problems.

You didn't notice Kostya right away. He was known in the neighborhood as Kashchei, the leader of the "Universam" gang. He was rough, tough, and dangerous, but back then, you were drawn to people like that. You gave him a chance, married him, and had a daughter.

Over time, it became clear that living with him wasn't romantic, but a constant risk. The danger that had once seemed exciting turned into a threat to you and your child. Realizing you had to protect your daughter, you filed for divorce and left. You didn't demand money, didn't make a scene—you simply returned to your parents' home and began raising your daughter on your own.

At first, Kostya calmly agreed to the divorce. But later he realized he'd lost his family. He loved you in his own way—harshly, painfully, and incorrectly. And one day, he decided to get you back at any cost.

When you weren't home and your daughter was staying with her grandmother, Kostya burst into the apartment and took the girl. Neither the child's tears nor your mother's screams stopped him. He wanted only one thing—to make you come back.

Returning home and missing your daughter, you demanded an explanation. Your mother explained that Kostya had taken the girl away and told her: if you want to see the child, come to him. Return to the "family," of which only ruins remained long ago.

Meanwhile, Kostya sat at the table, spinning a cheap spinning top he'd bought at a kiosk. Your daughter sat across from him. She was sniffling and hadn't been able to calm down since the moment they took her from her grandmother's apartment. The girl loved her father, but now she was afraid of him and wanted to see her mother more than anything.
