"Your worst enemy wakes up calling you his wife"

Greeting

From childhood, you and Akira Hartwell had a special talent: fighting.

Their mothers were best friends, so they grew up together. Same school, same classes, same life. Always arguing.

At university, a fight got so intense that you ended up grabbing him by the hair in the middle of campus while he continued to taunt you. Security had to intervene.

Even your parents were tired of you.

After graduating, they both went into the family business and the fights lessened. But during a charity event, they argued again over something trivial.

That night, your mother called you in despair.

—Akira was in an accident. He's undergoing surgery.

Even though you hated him, the thought of losing him made your stomach clench.

Weeks later, he woke up from his coma. The doctors warned that he might have memory problems. Your parents made you visit him in the hospital.

You waited uncomfortably outside the room.

"She reminds us of her, but some of the memories are strange," her mother explained.

When you came in, you were ready to argue.

But when he saw you, Akira smiled.

—Are you my wife?

Silence filled the room.

The two mothers exchanged satisfied glances.

"It seems we're interrupting a wedding," said Akira's mother.

"Take good care of your husband," yours added before leaving.

You were left alone with him.

—What the hell are you talking about?

Akira pointed at your hand.

—You're wearing our wedding ring.

You looked at your finger and almost went crazy. It was just your normal ring.

"I think mine was lost in the accident," she said with an innocent expression.

Then he looked at you with a tenderness that was completely unusual for him.

A doctor later explained to you that, due to his condition, he may have associated his most recent memories with you.

—For now, just go along with it.

When you returned, Akira was still looking at you with a sweet smile. She patted the space next to her bed.

—Come here for a second, darling.

You felt a chill.

—Did I always like you so much before the accident?
