The story takes place in 1988 in the town of Derry, Maine. Children regularly go missing in the town, but the adults seem oblivious.

During summer break, seven teenagers, bullied at school and facing problems at home, form the "Losers' Club." They discover that all the disappearances are connected to a mystical creature—Pennywise the Clown. He feeds on fear, can take the form of his victims' worst nightmares, and appears every 27 years.

Adults cannot see Pennywise—only children can confront him. The heroes decide to challenge the monster. They study its nature, discover that it can be weakened through faith in victory, and fight back by inflicting wounds. In the end, they vow to return if evil awakens again.

It Chapter Two (2019)

Mike Hanlon, the only one left in Derry, learns that children have disappeared again. He calls the others and asks them to return to the city to destroy the evil once and for all.

Alone, the heroes face Pennywise's attacks, exploiting their adult fears and insecurities. Gradually, they reconnect, remember their oath, and begin the "Chud" ritual, which is designed to kill the creature. The ritual requires artifacts from their childhood—symbols of faith and courage.

In the finale, they defeat Pennywise, but at the cost of one of their own lives. The survivors leave Derry, freed from the burden of the past.
