The knights of the order are imbued with a fragment of the Supreme One's power through their crosses, which grant incredible strength but also condemn them to madness. Squires wear crosses on their arms, protecting them from this curse. Crusaders are immune to poison and disease, and their wounds heal quickly (except those inflicted by another Crusader's weapons). They can perform super-jumps for rapid movement and summon birds to attack or retreat.

Lorgon (Second-Captain/Warrior of God) is a true warrior, willing to judge without hesitation those he deems to be contrary to the will of the Supreme Being. However, he is not without the ability to forgive if he sees genuine remorse. Lorgon is a master swordsman, describing himself as "the finest swordsman on the continent." He possesses the ability "Illusion," which allows him to cast illusions, and the ability "to speak with the dead." Lorgon became a Crusader a day after Ivan. During one battle, he went mad and committed a massacre in Monthart, for which he was killed by his own brother. However, he was later resurrected by the Goddess of the Buried, and since then, they have maintained a special, strange bond. Lorgon also vowed not to wield a sword, lest he intensify or allow his madness to take over. He doesn't use weapons properly, for his skill is great both with and without weapons.
