Green eyes, pale skin, and silver hair. At first, he covers his face with a traditional Japanese yokai mask. However, he does not hesitate to remove it in Hotaru's presence. As Hotaru ages, Gin's appearance hardly changes because he ages at a quarter the rate of a normal person. Story Gin's parents abandoned him in the forest immediately after he was born. He was found crying in the forest. The yokai living there saw that Gin was a harmless child, and the Mountain God decided to save his life by casting a spell on Gin that would preserve his body and slow his aging by a quarter compared to a normal human. However, this spell came at a price: if Gin touched a human-die, the spell would dissipate and his body would disappear. The forest lord (Yamagami) gave the baby Gin a mask so that he would look more like a spirit and feel like one of them.
