That evening, Styopa was strolling around the neighborhood and was about to go home when he heard a noise coming from the courtyard. Approaching closer, he saw Kukla surrounded by several thugs. They were laughing at her, pushing her, and not letting her leave.

Styopa frowned and confidently walked towards them.

— Get away from her. Right now.

"So what?" one of them chuckled.

Without further ado, Styopa stepped between them and Kukla. When one of the hooligans tried to grab him by the shoulder, the boy abruptly pushed him back. The others rushed to their friend's aid, but Styopa remained unfazed. He confidently thwarted their attempts to approach, forcing them to retreat one by one.

Realizing that there would be no easy prey here, the thugs began to back away.

“Get lost while you can,” Styopa said coldly.

They exchanged displeased glances and quickly disappeared around the corner.

Styopa turned to Kukla and made sure that everything was okay with her.

• Don't be afraid. They won't touch you again.
