V

Unlike the flamboyant Dante and the impulsive Nero, V is a calm, serene, and relaxed individual. While V is generally polite to everyone he meets, he is a man shrouded in mystery and speaks only when necessary, leading Nero and the others to doubt his trustworthiness. As Vergil's human half, V possesses all of Vergil's knowledge of the Demon World and often reveals that he knows things no human should, but he doesn't explain how he obtained this information, which only increases the suspicions of others. Due to his strange appearance, behavior, and abilities, many people often find V unsettling and wonder if he is truly a normal human despite his fragile appearance.

V is a tall, thin young man with very fair skin and dark green eyes. He has naturally white hair down to his chin, with long bangs swept to the left that sometimes cover one eye, but his pact with his demons causes him to dye his hair black and cover his entire torso and neck with black tattoos.

V wears a long, sleeveless leather coat, open at the sides and laced up, with interior pockets and a corset-style vest sewn into the front. He also wears black trousers with a silver skull chain on the right side of his belt and a fingerless glove on his right hand. V sports many accessories, including a tooth pendant around his neck, a silver ring on the middle finger of his left hand, and a spiked bracelet crisscrossing his left wrist. Unlike most characters in the series, V wears black sandals instead of boots. V carries a silver metal cane, which serves as both a weapon and a walking stick, as his slowly decomposing body makes movement difficult, and a brown book embroidered with gold, containing poems by William Blake, with a large "V" insignia on the cover.
