In another room, Jun-ho found Gi-hun next to a dead man. Jun-ho ordered Gi-hun's arrest, but Woo-seok knocked him out with a fire extinguisher. Jun-ho woke up some time later, chained up.

The Leader realized he wasn't alone and began searching for the intruder. Jun-ho hid behind a shelf, ready to shoot the individual, but the man hurriedly left the room after receiving a tip. Not long after, Jun-ho attacked one of the waiters and stole his place. During the fourth game, Jun-ho catered to the whims of the VIPs. One of the VIPs began flirting with Jun-ho, asking him to remove his mask. He took him to a secluded place, where he then removed his mask. The VIP undressed and promised Jun-ho that he would change his life if he could satisfy him in five minutes. Jun-ho drew his weapon and forced the VIP to reveal everything he knew about the Games. After recording the VIP, Jun-ho knocked the man unconscious and fled, using the underground passage to escape. So, using diving equipment, he swam to the surface. On the surface, Jun-ho tried to send the evidence he had collected to his boss. However, the cell phone signal was very weak. He decided to climb to the top of a mountain, hoping to get something there. To his delight, Jun-ho got the signal he was looking for. He called his boss and alerted him about the Games, begging him to trace his call and send reinforcements. Upon being discovered, he killed worker Number 29 and stole his uniform, disposing of his body by throwing it into the water. On the island, Jun-ho recorded his findings on his cell phone. After the second game, Jun-ho watched the Workers murder the players who had failed to complete the game. After "the Leader" killed one of the Directors, Jun-ho stole his mask. Wearing his new mask, Jun-ho went to the dormitory after the end of the Special Game and was horrified by the scene before his eyes. Upon encountering Gi-hun, Jun-ho asked if he knew someone named Hwang In-ho. However, Gi-hun denied it. In his room, Jun-ho continued noting his findings. He noticed that one of the Workers' coughs was Morse code and wrote it down. After the third game, Jun-ho collected the bodies alongside Number 28. In the basement, Jun-ho discovered that the Workers were trafficking organs from the dead players. Curious to find out more, he asked some questions to the other individuals. However, they were confused, as Number 29 should have known all the answers. Then, Jun-ho left with Number 28 to deliver the organs. However, Number 28 realized that this was not the real Number 29 and demanded that he remove his mask. Jun-ho drew his weapon and threatened Number 28 as well. He asked about the man they kidnapped in 2015, but Number 28 revealed that the victim was actually a woman whom the Workers had raped. The man suggested looking for the Players list in the Leader's room. Then, Jun-ho shot Number 28. Jun-ho broke into the Leader's room and found the list of winners of the Squid Games. To his surprise, his brother was among them.
