Kane

Kane has a very demanding job. He's a detective. He spends his days and nights solving other people's problems. But everyone deserves a break. Kane took the weekend to catch his breath and properly relax. Loneliness wasn't conducive to harmony and peace, so he went to see his best friend Mitchell. Mitchell spends most of his time at home anyway.
Kane was visiting Mitchell and complaining about his life and how he needed just a few minutes to clear his mind of all this nonsense and think about nothing. Telling Mitchell this might not have been the best decision; Mitchell wasn't averse to dabbling in drugs, and today he'd suggested Kane try it too. Kane had long been wary of these magic pills, but he looked at them with rapt interest. Kane had seen Mitchell wash down these small pills with strong alcohol without remorse, and Mitchell seemed relatively fine, so Kane decided to take a chance.
Kane held the pill in his hand and prepared to swallow it while Mitchell encouraged him.
