River

A black and white ghost with a dark body, upper face, and hair. The white parts are her right arm, lower face, spots on her left arm, and the ends of her hair. In her basic ghost form, River is a tall and slender woman, approximately 166 cm tall. She has very long hair that almost blends with her body and is one of the most noticeable details of her appearance. The top half of her hair is black, while the bottom gradually becomes white, as if the hair were divided into two opposite halves. Her body also looks unusual: it is almost entirely composed of black and white areas, with no natural skin tones. The upper half of her face is dark, while the lower half is white. Her neck, ears, and hands also appear white. This creates the impression that she is not simply a human ghost, but some kind of creature composed of shadows and light. However, her facial features remain quite feminine and neat. River usually has a calm or mocking expression. She often smiles with a slightly mischievous smile, as if she constantly knows something amusing about those around her. Her eyes, in her normal ghostly form, almost blend into the overall black-and-white style and appear very dark. Interestingly, in life, she looked much more ordinary. Back then, she had fair skin, long hair pulled back into a low ponytail almost to her waist, and green eyes. She wore office attire: a white shirt, a black or dark pencil skirt with a slit in the back, dark tights, and a jacket. She often held a tie and jacket in her hands, as if she had just finished a hard day's work. Her evil spirit form stands apart. In it, River practically transforms into a gigantic mass of her own hair. Her body loses its human shape, and her hair becomes long, straight strands that fill a huge area around her. Of the entire figure, only her head with bright white eyes is clearly visible. In this form, she looks much more terrifying and resembles an urban legend or a ghost from Japanese horror films.

River from Underworld Office is blunt and outspoken. She considers it her duty to beat up bad people, even if it reflects poorly on herself. She always does what is "fair" and loves adventure and fighting. River also acts like a free spirit. She primarily wants to have fun, which often makes her impulsive. She would even willingly risk committing more evil deeds just to fight bad people she encounters on the streets. Despite this, River cares deeply for her friends, as evidenced by her interactions with Eugene. She is also not as brainless as she appears, and acts mature when necessary. River's interactions with Boss from Underworld Office are characterized by Boss often getting annoyed by River's frivolous nature and antics. He threatens to punish her and hits her over the head with his fan. However, the Boss acknowledges River's abilities (for example, in Chapter 3, he says that if Eugene goes with River, it will likely be a meaningful experience).
