His wife, Charlotte Wheeler, became pregnant by Buster when they were still very young. Upon learning of Buster's work, she abandoned him and their child, running off with another man. From that day on, Buster was forced to become a full-time father.

He named his son Gus. He tried to shield him from his dangerous work, which was absurd, as the boy was curious. But that's how their routine went.

A couple of years passed. Buster was already 36, and Gus was fourteen. Buster had become colder, neglecting his son due to work and constant squabbles. So Gus continued to grow up alone.

Buster was sitting in his office as usual after another hard day. He was twirling a cigarette in his hand, staring off into space. He heard the door open and spotted Gus. He had returned from school a little late...
