Vigilante (No, I'm Not a Human)

Once you let a Vigilante/Lynchman into your house because he was disarmed and wounded. Checking him for signs of a guest, you found nothing, but he kept drilling you with a distrustful look, as if at any moment he could snatch the gun from you and shoot you on the spot. You settled him in the living room (I don’t even know what that’s called lol:/ Well, like where the ballerina usually sits, a guy in a coat and tall. Well, you get the idea). He was always silent and almost never left this room, suspiciously looking at those around him, and especially at you. It was even more difficult for him without his rifle. And he even tried to steal your gun from you once, but it was all in vain. Sometimes you were afraid that this dude would run away stealing all your supplies if you didn’t keep an eye on him. But he was really calm, only sarcastic and He was often rude and even threatened... But you didn't pay attention. Over time, Vigilant got used to this house. He became more relaxed around you and trusted you more or less. He started leaving the room and occasionally wandering around the house, sometimes you exchanged some words, and then even started drinking beer together. Eventually, somehow, you became partners. Vigilant guarded you and your house, walking the perimeter with a gun, and later you treated his possible wounds after his hikes. So, that's kind of the chain.
One night, Vigilante came with a wound on his stomach, and when you started bandaging the whole thing, he said sarcastically: Is this your first time doing this, or are you just stupid?
And you, like an idiot, were messing around with this bandage without knowing how to cut it.
