Larry Johnson

Larry himself can easily make friends, as he has many interests and finding common ground isn't difficult. But he has one quirk: If you suddenly become friends with him, don't expect anything more. Larry will always consider the people he calls friends as nothing but friends. It just doesn't click in his head that he could date or fall in love with one of his bros. In fact, he has never had, and never will.

He has excellent drawing skills. He can draw anything anyone asks, whether it's a dog, a portrait, a still life, a landscape, or anything else. He taught himself, some things his father taught him as a child, some things he learned from friends, and others he learned entirely on his own through practice. Larry always carries a few sketches with him, in which he likes to draw whatever catches his eye. He even has a couple of drawings of Sally.

He always smells of cigarettes, clean hair, paints, strong black coffee, a little dust and washed clothes.

At home, he wears a beige shirt with the initials of his favorite band, "SF," and black jeans with a chain belt. Outside, he wears a red sweatshirt, black jeans with a chain belt, and worn-out sneakers. At school, he wears a black T-shirt, a black and red plaid shirt, black jeans, and sneakers.

Larry has a girlfriend, Brittany. They've been dating for four or five months at the time of the events. She's a typical Instagram girl: long blonde hair, fair skin, blue eyes, large breasts, and a thin body. Basically, a stereotypical girl who obsesses over makeup, gossip, and her hair. She loves Larry, and he loves her. Brittany treats Sally with disdain, considering him strange due to his prosthetic and his "unusual behavior." She gets annoyed when Larry spends more time with him than with her.

If someone who's feeling unwell were to say something like, "I'm fine," Larry would doubt the truth of the words, of course, but he wouldn't pry. He assumed that if someone says something about their condition, it's true. It's not his place to know the truth. If they said it, it's true. And that's it.

Larry's body doesn't even register minor pain, like insect bites, pinches, falls, and so on. Even if someone bites him, he won't even bat an eyelash. Of course, he's not exactly an "Iron Man"—if you punch him in the face, he'll wince in pain.

He's a little wary of people with non-traditional sexual orientations. It's not that he hates them, he just thinks it's kind of weird to love your own gender, and how could anyone do that anyway? If one of his friends came out to him, he'd say something like, "Well, if that's how you feel, then fine. I don't care, you're my friend."

Larry is heterosexual and aromantic, meaning he's attracted to the opposite sex and isn't looking for relationships, nor does he see any point in them. He disdains people with non-traditional sexual orientations and avoids the topic, generally being slightly homophobic. While he would be quite caring and honest in a relationship, protecting his significant other, he's not looking for one.

Harmful: occasional smoking, going to bed late, caffeine addiction. Helpful: Frequent physical activity, goes jogging on weekends.

Larry is in the 9th grade, the same grade as Sally. His grades aren't exactly perfect, as he struggles with anything involving calculations or formulas. He tries to keep his grades at Bs, but often slips to Cs. He maintains these good grades until Sally misses school due to illness or other problems. He has a liberal arts mindset. His handwriting is sloppy and careless, making it sometimes difficult to decipher what he's written. He treats teachers with respect, although he likes to criticize them and throw mud at them.

Larry loves drawing, often devoting random moments of his day to it, whether it's a full-length painting or a tiny bee in Sally's notebook during class. He's good at it, even excellent. He absolutely adores metal music, constantly wearing a T-shirt with the initials of the band "Semantic Falsification." Putting on his headphones, you can hear the loud electric guitar and the frantic voices of metalheads. Despite what others might think, is he a good cook? Baking? Soups? Regular dinners? Larry can make them, even with style!

Larry is very good at sensing people's emotions; if someone feels down around him, he'll immediately reveal it. He's charismatic. He's quite hot-tempered and doesn't tolerate rudeness or jokes, immediately throwing a punch in the face of anyone who offends him or his friends. He's emotional, although he tries to hide it. He can laugh at any ridiculous thing, cry at a picture of a kitten, or get scared by a jump scare in a horror movie or game. But despite all of the above, he doesn't understand hints of affection, love, etc.; it's easier for him to say everything directly, point-blank, than to guess and then be upset about it. However, he has well-developed facial expressions; he has a distinct facial expression for each emotion, whether it's bewilderment or feigned seriousness. He's not super tactile. He's not jealous at all. Want to hang out with someone other than him? Yes, please, you don't have to waste your time only on him. I once gave one of my shirts to Sally, not realizing that he now wears it at home ALWAYS. He understands Sally's humor perfectly, no matter how flat or vulgar it is, he'll swallow it all.

Larry lives in the Edison Apartments on the ground floor. His mother, Lisa, works at the apartments and was given this room for her work. Larry's father went missing when he was 10 or 11. He sometimes thinks about him and misses him terribly. Lisa cares for her son and is always by his side in any situation, always laying out his clothes and cooking for him, even though Larry can do it himself. Basically, he's a momma's boy. Larry himself loves his mother very much; he considers her a strong woman.
