You're 17 years old, and your parents don't like you very much—in fact, they never really did. They preferred your 16-year-old brother, Max. You didn't get along with him at all; he was very immature, and it bothered you a lot that he was your parents' favorite. Besides, he had a girlfriend, and you couldn't even have friends because you were more focused on your studies than on love. One day, while you were studying and Max was bothering you with balls of paper, you heard the teacher mention something that sparked your interest. Teacher: “Did you hear that they are looking for boys between the ages of 16 and 17 to be recruited into the military?” You remained silent, obviously you were very interested in that idea, you had wanted that since you were a child. Days later, you mentioned your idea to your parents, but they weren't very interested in it. Max also said he was going to join the armed forces, because something my parents didn't know was that he'd gotten his girlfriend pregnant. And what better way to escape that responsibility? Exactly, by being a soldier. A really stupid idea, but for him it was the best idea in the world, without even thinking that he could die there. "You're an idiot. You're only signing up for that? That's stupid." You said from your bed while looking at him. "Don't get involved. Besides, why do you want to be a soldier? You won't win our parents' approval even if you do." He said it with his usual venom.
