Who are the Immortals in Fairytale Central?

Status: They are the elite of the prison world, the "black" ones. They control the entire zone, do no work, and report directly to the Snow Queen. Privileges: Unlike the "scumbags," who live in brutal conditions, the immortals enjoy all the benefits, rule the cells, and pressure those below them in the hierarchy. Why they are called that: The name comes from Koshchei the Deathless. These are the prisoners who consider themselves the untouchable "gods" of the prison, whose authority the average prisoner cannot challenge.

But, in any case, the Snow Queen is certainly higher in status than them.

The OBSP doesn't patrol Fairytale Central. In fact, they don't even go there. The worst they can do is send another Fairytale to Fairytale Central, but even then, they try to get out of there as quickly as possible.

Fairytale Central is experiencing an eternal winter because of the Snow Queen.

Sundugach, translated from Tatar as Nightingale the Robber, wears a "muzzle" that prevents him from whistling, but also from speaking.

At the end of each week, the Immortals and the Snow Queen collect some of the food from the Scumbags. This is to prevent the Immortals from killing the Scumbags.

Appearance: Prisoners of this caste are dressed in identical, greasy, dirty prison jackets (padded jackets) of gray and black with numbers. Bulky locking collars are firmly locked around their necks, giving them a hunched, tired, and will-less appearance.

Geographic location: The exact coordinates are classified by the OBSP. It is known that the prison is located in deep isolation, in a snowy wilderness, far outside of Moscow. The OBSP team transports captured evil spirits there. Portal entrance: It is impossible to enter the prison by foot or by car. The physical entrance to Fairytale Central is hidden and relies on natural magic. For example, the main character, Lyokha Popov, returns from there to the ordinary world through a hidden portal in an ice hole in the middle of a frozen pond. In Fairytale Central, prisoner collars function as a technological means of total control with an instant-deactivation function. Magic and Power Blocking: As soon as the collar is fastened around the neck of a Fairytale criminal, built-in technological jammers and OBSP charms instantly suppress any supernatural abilities. The prisoner becomes helpless. Explosive Mechanism (Dead Zone): Each collar contains a powerful miniature explosive. Sensors are installed around the entire perimeter of Fairytale Central, outlining the prison's invisible boundaries. Fit: The collar fits very tightly, leaving virtually no gap between the metal and the skin, making any attempt to penetrate it with tools physically impossible. Light Indicators: Electronic sensors and LEDs are located on the front and sides of the collar. When the prisoner is within the permitted zone, the lights glow a steady green or blue. When approaching the perimeter or during a break-in attempt, they begin to flash red, warning of an imminent detonation. Electronic Lock: A thickened locking block is visible on the back or side of the device. It conceals slots for a contactless electronic security key and the locking mechanism itself, which latches securely around the neck. Material and Color: The collar is made of thick, heavy matte metal in a dark gray or black color (similar to hardened weapons-grade titanium). It has a rugged and utilitarian appearance, emphasizing the severity of the prison. Tamper Resistance: Unauthorized removal of the collar is impossible—any attempt to physically force, saw, or damage the lock immediately triggers the mechanism. Only prison administration can safely remove it using a special remote control or access key. Escape Attempt: If an inmate attempts to escape and crosses the restricted area, the collar automatically activates a detonator and explodes, decapitating the prisoner. Even the queen has a collar, but it doesn't block her powers.

The Snow Queen, Sundugach, is a huge, terrifying, yet kind fairytale creature. Translated from Tatar, it means "Nightingale the Robber." The Camp of Illegal Leshys. Status: Mass prisoners. Role in the plot: They were detained by the entire clan of the OBSP in the very first episode after a bank raid. Everyone, including the women and children of the Leshys, was sent to Central, causing the prison to be overcrowded. They are used for hard labor. The "Chmoshniks" Gang. Status: The lowest caste of prisoners, the prison's extras. Who it includes: Petty ghouls, kikimoras, weakened demons, and other everyday evil spirits who lack significant magical powers without artifacts. The Leshys are also included in the Chmoshnik camp. The Leshys are depicted in the series not as classic forest spirits, but as a caricatured ethnic gang of illegal immigrants who have come to conquer the capital. Rusal Status: Dangerous repeat offender. In Fairytale Central, prisoners are divided into two main castes: "immortals" (especially dangerous, powerful creatures) and "chmoshniks" (a lower caste, minor or weak evil spirits). All prisoners wear quilted jackets and locking collars.

People are sent to Fairytale Central for crimes committed using magic, spells, or the biological characteristics of fairytale creatures. The OBSP prosecutes evil spirits under the Russian Criminal Code, but with specific "fairytale" amendments. The main articles and crimes for which people are sent to this prison are: Magical terrorism and mass murder: The most serious offense. Under this offense, beings who have committed massacres or large-scale destruction in cities (for example, Rusal for the bloody massacre in Moscow) are transferred to Central Prison. Robbery and armed robbery using spells: Using magic to steal money and property. This is precisely what the Gang of Leshy and Sundugach, who robbed banks and cash collectors using invisibility, are imprisoned for. Illegal trafficking and smuggling of artifacts: Possession, sale, or creation of dangerous magical items (such as invisibility caps, apples of youth, or enchanted weapons) without a license from the OBSP. Illegal use of hypnosis and suggestion (miracle): Using mental magic to deceive citizens, commit fraud, steal personal information, or subjugate someone else's will. Violation of migration regulations for evil spirits: Mass illegal crossing of the borders of fairytale worlds and human cities. The Leshy were locked up in Central, in part because they illegally brought their entire forest camp to Moscow. For minor offenses (such as the domestic disturbances of minor demons), the OBSP uses regular detention centers with enchanted bars, and only those who pose a real threat to the secrecy and security of the human world are sent to Central.

OBSP stands for Department for Combating Fairytale Crimes. It's a fictional secret government unit from the Russian comedy detective series "Magic Lot," which centers on the investigation of crimes committed by fairytale characters living secretly among ordinary people. The department's mission: It controls evil spirits and fairytale creatures. Its arsenal includes magical artifacts and unconventional methods. Specifics of arrests: Conventional weapons have no effect on most criminals, so operatives use magical shackles that neutralize spells and enchanted weapons. Secrecy: OBSP's activities are hidden from the public. Any magical pogroms in Moscow or St. Petersburg are dismissed as "domestic gas explosions," "man-made accidents," or training exercises.

Evidence Warehouse: The OBSP stores extremely dangerous artifacts—seven-league boots, a self-assembled tablecloth, invisibility caps, self-guided gusli, and the legendary Kladenets sword. The use of these items is strictly regulated.

In "The Magic Precinct," the Queen completely breaks the stereotype of a radiant, sterile ruler. The show's artists created a sinister, anti-glamour image for her: an ancient witch driven mad by the realities of a modern metropolis. According to the creators, her clothing was intended to convey the idea that the Queen "molded herself from what was available: sticks, ice, and a dead bullfinch." The textures of dry branches, feathers, and bones are discernible in the details of her clothing, emphasizing that her magic brings a cold death. The Queen wears massive, heavy, oversized garments that create a cocoon around her, making her figure appear enormous, monumental, and intimidating. Bulky, translucent elements, reminiscent of melted, murky ice, play a huge role in the visuals. Her outfits are dominated not by pure icy tones, but by dirty, gray-white, earthy, textured shades of withering and charred hues. Hair: No perfect hairstyles. The actress's hair is styled in a chaotic, tousled mane, seemingly grayed with frost, completing this strange yet magnetic image. Face and Skin: The Queen has an unnaturally pale, deathly complexion with an icy undertone, graphic, harsh eyebrows, and cold, frost-covered eyes. She looks simultaneously tired, mad, and predatory.

The most dangerous, marginal elements of the fairytale world serve their sentences in the Central Prison. At various times, the Rusal the Ripper, the Leshy gang, and the mad pyromaniac Zmey Gorynych have all been sent there. Despite its status as an official detention center of the Department for Combating Fairytale Crimes (DSCF), criminal chaos flourishes within the Central Prison. The Snow Queen has consolidated all shadow power and internal order among the prisoners, acting as the undisputed criminal authority here. The Central Prison was created to isolate beings possessing supernatural powers. Standard bars cannot contain them, so special magical blockers are used to seal off the prisoners' powers. The Scumbags: This is where petty scoundrels, idiots, and lesser creatures (such as the Leshy gang, petty devils, or bewitched people) end up. They do all the dirty work, are deprived of any privileges, and wear those same shabby, worn-out quilted jackets. They are the ones the authorities sacrifice first.

The Snow Queen holds the status of the absolute "overseer" of Central. She single-handedly controls the prison's shadow life, distributes resources, and decides the fates of others. She is feared and respected for her absolute ruthlessness and ability to destroy any rebel. At her side are high-ranking mages or authoritative fairy-tale creatures (on the level of Koschei, if he were incarcerated there), possessing strategic thinking. Abilities: Extreme Cold Manipulation: The heroine can instantly lower the temperature around her. This allows her to paralyze opponents and take control of space. Ice and Snow Manipulation: Creation of the strongest ice weapons. Freezing people and any physical objects in seconds. Artifacture: The ability to create powerful magical items. The series' artists incorporated the idea that the Queen constructs her own artifacts by combining natural ice with dark necromancy. Physical Damage Immunity: Due to her icy nature, she is virtually immune to normal human weapons, making her one of the most dangerous targets for the OBSP. Energy Sealing: The Queen's magic has the ability to block or freeze the powers of other mythical creatures, making them vulnerable. Power Limitations: Weakness to Heat: Like the classic character, she is vulnerable to powerful fire spells and artifacts (such as the powers of the Serpent Gorynych).
