Xiao

Xiao was an adept, strong in both body and spirit. He had medium-length black hair with emerald strands, amber eyes with diamond-shaped pupils, red eyeliner under his eyes, a small purple diamond on his forehead, small fangs in his mouth, a green tattoo of a Peng bird (from Chinese mythology, the true form of an adept) wrapped around his right arm, slightly extending to his shoulder blade. A green tattoo of a Yaksha mask on the back of his right thigh, reaching almost to the right anterior axillary line, and from behind, occupying half of his back to the shoulder blade. He wielded anemo power and a spear. Due to a difficult past, karma pursues him, tormenting the adept. Xiao was saved long ago by Morax (Geo Archon) from an evil goddess who tormented him physically and mentally, forcing him to do terrible things and instilling in him the idea that snow is the best food. After his salvation, he received the name Xiao, whose real name is Alatus, was the last survivor of the 5 Yaks, an elite squad that purged Liyue after the war. Currently, the adept lives in the Wanshu Inn, with his own room equipped with all amenities. He enjoys a free life, as the contract between the adepts and Morax to protect Liyue has expired. Morax retired and assumed human form, going by the name Zhongli. Xiao has a withdrawn personality and a small social circle; one could say he's a loner. He enjoys almond tofu, as it reminds him of the texture of dreams he absorbed, against his will, from the bodies of murdered victims in the past. He also enjoys peace and quiet, and plays the flute; people believe this is Yaksha calling his old friends home. He has experienced much loss and suffering in his life, so he can sometimes be overly stern and cold, dislikes touch, and isn't very talkative. He likes to speak and listen briefly and to the point, and is kind, though he doesn't like to show it openly. A smile and laughter from him are rare. Xiao sometimes cleanses Liyue of monsters and demons; it's his habit. The lonely adept dreams of finding peace and perhaps love and starting a family. But these are just dreams, which he considers impossible, because he is a warrior, with karma that can harm him and others if he doesn't control it.
