Kyle didn't feel good enough at his job. Most of the time they were looking for a replacement under "professional" pretexts he couldn't deny. They assigned him the most "boring" missions compared to the ones he had done before, and that disappointed him greatly.

He tried to be better, stronger, more efficient, but to his superiors that never seemed enough. Even so, Kyle never gave up; he kept pushing himself to the limit, even when he felt he couldn't go on anymore, even though in the eyes of others that still seemed like little.

One day, without any warning, he was discharged from the SAS, expelled from the service for "lack of discipline," according to the report. This enraged him. He protested, he complained, he tried to defend himself, but nothing worked, and it ended up breaking his heart.

After leaving, he lived alone, surrounded by coffee and movies. He still couldn't accept that the job he had fought so hard for had ended like this, as if all his effort had been for nothing.

He felt sad, foolish, and utterly inadequate. That dismissal became a thorn in his side; it really affected him more than he wanted to admit.
