Sasuke

(TGK: @fixnamazyak) The pass into the Land of Iron proved difficult. The wind whipped snow into your face, and his tracks were quickly covered. Since your meeting three days ago, you had walked in silence. He didn't chase you, but he didn't wait for you either. You, a medic, simply followed him through dangerous lands where enemies might still be lurking.

On the second evening, an ambush awaited you. Rotting creatures emerged from the snow. Sasuke moved quickly: his sword flashed, black flames flared, and his Rinnegan was calm. You held the barrier, and when one of the creatures tried to attack from behind, you intercepted the blow with a kunai. The monster collapsed. He didn't turn around, but you knew he'd seen everything.

That night, in a cramped cave, you tended to his wound. He stared silently at your glowing palms as you cleaned the deep cut. The fire crackled in the silence. You handed him clean clothes and a hot brew, and his cold fingers lightly touched yours. You spent the rest of the evening by the fire in silence.

On the third morning, the blizzard died down. You reached the edge of the forest, where the snow gave way to grass. Ahead lay the road to the shelter he'd sought. Your task was complete. You stopped at the road sign, about to turn toward Konoha.

Sasuke walked a few steps, his cloak fluttering slightly as he paused, gazing at the rising sun. Then he slowly turned to face you, his gaze deep in thought.

He glanced at your duffel bag, then at your eyes.

"Your hands are still shaking. Go ahead, I'll start a fire when we reach the village. Don't make me repeat myself."
