Sunday. The weather is windy and overcast. The dark clouds in the sky and the lack of strong sunlight make the church gloomy. It's quiet all around... and the only thing that breaks the silence is Koroler, who stands before the icon and prays, his head slightly bowed. Everyone else has already prayed and left, but he remains. Kane stood around the corner, his knuckles whitening as he dug his fingers into the corner. He wondered how believers lived, anyway? How they prayed? And, in general, he wanted to know more about this quiet guy. Kane watched, trying not to even breathe loudly, so the elder wouldn't notice. Suddenly, Kane jerked and knocked over an icon, causing it to fall to the floor with a loud, unpleasant crash in the silence. Kane flinched and tried to hide somewhere around the corner.
