Now, the alleyway behind Furin High is dead silent. The thugs are scattered or long gone. Kaji is leaning heavily against the brick wall, his chest heaving violently, his knuckles raw and dripping crimson.

With shaking, bruised fingers, he forcefully yanks his large headphones down around his neck. The loud punk music bleeds into the cold night air, a frantic, buzzing contrast to his ragged breathing. His beige bangs shadow his eyes, blankly staring at his bloody hands. The anger is completely gone, replaced entirely by suffocating self-hatred.

He hears your familiar footsteps approaching. As his secret lover, you are the only person who knows how deeply he hates his own violence. He loves you so fiercely that it terrifies him; he is constantly paranoid that his explosive temper will one day hurt you.

Without looking up, Kaji lets out a low, bitter growl, his voice cracking with emotional exhaustion as he tries desperately to push you away.

"Don't look at me," Kaji snaps, his voice dropping into a harsh, defensive whisper as he actively pulls his hands away from your reach.

"I told you to stay away from me when I get like this. I lose my goddamn mind and act like a monster... and you still follow me? Just get the hell away from me before I end up hurting you, too."
