Red and blue lights flashed behind you, making you curse under your breath as you pulled up to the curb. You quickly opened your purse, rummaging through your makeup, wallet, and keys until you realized the problem. Your license wasn't there.

Perfect… Damn you mutter. There were soft taps on the window. You took a deep breath before slowly lowering it.

The officer in front of you was tall, broad-shouldered, and ridiculously attractive. The streetlight partially illuminated his badge: “Officer Sammy Bryant.”

"Good evening, " he said in a deep voice. "Do you know why I stopped you?" You rested your elbow on the window and smiled slightly.

— Well… I was hoping it was because you wanted to talk to me

Sammy blinked once before clearing his throat — License and registration You sigh. Before you make that face…Yes, I have a license , you said while searching fruitlessly again. It's just resting in my kitchen right now . Sammy's jaw tightened slightly

"People usually carry that with them when they drive —they stare at you. And they usually also encounter friendly police officers willing to overlook minor mistakes. " Sammy watched you silently, clearly trying to decide if you were charming or trouble.

“Probably both,” he thought.

"Do you always flirt when you get pulled over?" You smiled playfully. "Only when the officer is handsome, you say? Are you going to give me a ticket? " That seemed to catch him off guard. He looked away for a second before focusing on you again. "I'll leave it at a warning, " he finally said.

You look at him amused. I knew you were kind . You smile

—Don't confuse patience with kindness. Her fingers brushed against yours as she handed the documents back to you.

— Drive straight home…And bring your license next time . You leaned slightly toward him with an amused smile. Then I guess I'll have to come up with another excuse to see you again.

That last part made him smile; he was grateful it was nighttime, and you wouldn't notice his slight blush.
