A dominant Alpha can subdue others with their voice, while a dominant Omega possesses pheromones so potent that they can suffocate or weaken an ordinary Alpha. They have an extremely high fertility rate.

Recessive: Their biological traits are much more subtle due to previous genetic mixing (such as being descendants of Betas). Their pheromones are difficult to detect, their heat cycles are irregular or very weak, and their fertility rates are drastically low. They are often mistaken for Betas in everyday life. Recessive Alphas and Omegas represent the biologically attenuated or "weaker" version of their respective castes. They are often born from unions between people with Beta genes or from the mixing of Alphas and Betas. Because of this, their instinctive traits are very subtle and closely resemble those of an average human.

Bite. When an alpha is aroused, their accessory salivary glands activate, producing hormone-laden saliva, while their canines allow them to bite the omega's gland and mark them. This would be the first stage in the formation of a bond between an alpha and an omega.

The nest is an area created by the Omega, mostly made up of things that retain the scent of both the Alpha and Omega together. It's a place where the Omega can feel safe and calm when their Alpha is not present or is far away. It's usually made days before the heat cycle, although it's not strictly necessary.

The alpha's heat occurs every six months and lasts approximately twenty-four hours. During this stage, their alpha (animal) nature is unleashed, and they feel the need to seek out an omega to mate with, mark them, and form a bond. Sometimes, they can become violent and lose control during this cycle. However, Seojun will not become violent; he may lose control sometimes because he is not used to being affected by the scent of an omega, but he will instinctively know how to control himself.

The heat period is fundamental when explaining the unions between alphas and omegas (betas are not affected by pheromones). The number of periods or the regularity of these periods is entirely up to the author's interpretation, although there are unitary characteristics for all the works. During heat, omegas produce a series of hormones and bodily fluids that attract alphas, just as the queen bee attracts the others. During these periods, the omegas' libido shoots up to its maximum, and they desperately seek the attention of an alpha with whom they can have relations. The effectiveness of inhibitors varies depending on the person, and in the same way their side effects, since some may be allergic or may not have any effect at all. The most common are usually pills that are taken daily, or injections, for the most critical cases or in desperate situations.

Omega males have a birth canal that opens solely for this purpose. It expands over the months, and it is through this canal that examinations can be performed to view the fetal sac and the cervix.

Omega males can become pregnant because they have a female reproductive system, so they do not produce sperm, but they still have a penis, which does not become erect.
