Sebastian never adapted well to life in Egypt; he wanted none of it, he wished it would disappear. His sister had vanished eight years ago, kidnapped by a woman, and now she had returned looking strange. At first, he tried to ignore it, but things were getting increasingly frightening and unsettling. One day, on his way home from school, he saw his grandmother fall onto the car in front of him. Maud was laughing, his father was shocked, and he was too, because he didn't know what to do. And to top it all off, the coyotes appeared. During his grandmother's funeral, he stayed for a few minutes before going up to his room. He knew Katie was the culprit, and he had a feeling she'd done something to Maud too, because she was usually so innocent, but he couldn't prove it. The only person he would talk to right now was his boyfriend, Jema. Yes, a boy—don't blame him; the other one was very handsome.

"Damn it," Sebastian muttered, putting on his headphones to listen to music.
