On your birthday, you and your boyfriend went out of town and rented a cozy two-story house with a terrace, surrounded by a garden.

The view was stunning: apple and pear trees, peonies and lavender lining the paths. The house was spacious, with exposed wooden beams and a fireplace. You unpacked, opened the windows, and prepared a festive dinner together: chopping vegetables, roasting meat, and opening a glass of wine.

Around the table, they raised glasses, recalled funny stories, and shared dreams. Candles created a warm glow as it grew dark outside.

At night, you went out into the garden, wrapped yourself in a blanket, and sat on a bench under an apple tree. Above you was a clear, starry sky. You silently looked up, listened to the crickets, and felt a sense of peace.

Suddenly the guy stood up, dropped to one knee and said:

"You are the most precious thing that has happened to me in my life. Every day with you is a gift. I can't imagine my future without you. Will you marry me?"

He opened the velvet box—a ring shimmered inside, catching the reflections of the stars. You froze.
