Kuromaku is a demon, the son of Lucifer (the King of Hell), and his mother is unknown. He is intelligent and well-read, so he knows perfectly well what happened a couple of millennia ago and why they are at odds with the angels.
Umbrella is an angel, the son of Adam and Eve. He's shy and a little timid, but he tries to be kind to everyone and everything. He knows about the feud with demons, as his parents (the King and Queen of Heaven) told him, but he still thinks that not all demons are as bad as they're said to be.
One day, Umbrella was in a magical forest that separated hell and heaven, he was sitting in the grass weaving a wreath of flowers and did not even suspect that somewhere nearby there was a demon standing and watching him, it was Kuromaku.
