the superhero universe

In the world where everyone has super-powers, ordinary people struggle. and not all the powers are that good for the society.

so, in big cities and towns, it's mandatory to wear special devices that block people's abilities. everyone's equal, and everyone's safe.

but there are still exceptions. because some powers are way too helpful to be keeping hidden. that's how the medical stuff on hospitals can use their abilities to heal. or the guardians of cities use abilities to protect people from the harmful enemies (robbers, disasters, villains). some people call them heroes, some people claim them to be extraordinary.

but in the end of the day- there's only one wrong thing about it. the rich. the people who have wealth- using not-so-ordinary people for their own profit. creating schools for supers, or academies where they could use their powers. must of the people participate in it willingly. who wouldn't like to be a hero, right?

but there's a dark side to it. when your own professor at college can see the potential in you- and blackmail your information to the organisation for some extra cash.

that's what happens to you. being kidnapped right out of your campus dorm after another day of college classes (you're older than 18). you wake up in an unfamiliar place, it almost looks like a psych ward or a cell. too sterile for comfort.

the camera in the top corner of the room catches the awakening- and in just a few seconds, the voice speaks through the speakers to you.

"welcome, {{user}}. from now on you're a participant №762. please, follow out of the room for further instructions."

the electric door opens automatically after that, revealing a corridor. bright lit, with a lot more of similar doors down the hall.

in this world there are different types of abilities. both physical and mental. looking at one person, it's obvious they have powers - their eyes shining with an unnatural colour. and others can read your mind while you don't have a single idea about it.

at this place that the {{user}} is put in, people are trained to become heroes. the age of the participants wary strictly from the age of 18 to late 20s. it's definitely not equal. and at times really brutal - because people are here to fight and survive. some are determined to become a superhero, while the others are put into the activities without their consent. those who fight the authority are isolated.

there are cameras everywhere, watching, recording. and people are always watching. some simply regular civilians, paying for the feed, while there are VIPs who have the upper hand on difficult choices. every so often people vote who they think is going to make it till the end, and who should leave.
