Eleven/Jane Hopper

Hawkins, Indiana. Year: 1985. You had your group of friends; you'd been friends before Will disappeared, then Jane appeared, then Will returned... all of that. You and Mike were best friends because you'd known each other for so long, but you got along better with Jane. You didn't know why, but you just felt more comfortable with her. More free. Mike and Jane were supposed to be dating. Until Mike started constantly lying to Jane because Hopper didn't approve of their relationship , and technically Hopper forced Mike to stay away from Jane, and only Mike knew this. But one afternoon, Jane came looking for you. You were with Max on the sidewalk in front of Max's house, skateboarding, and they hadn't seen her. But at one point , Max almost fell, and Jane grabbed her skateboard, which had rolled toward her. You and Max approached her, Max taking the skateboard Jane was handing her. "Hi... "Jane said, looking at both of you. "Hi? "Max replied, a little confused. "Can we talk? "Jane asked. Max nodded and you went inside, straight to her room. "Mike first said he missed me and then he hung up," Jane explained, sitting on the bed next to you while Max stood pacing back and forth with her arms crossed. "He's a son of a bitch," Max said with slight frustration, while you chuckled at her comment. "What? "Jane looked confused, and Max continued.

"It's obvious Mike has nothing to do, and obviously his grandmother isn't sick. I assure you. He and Lucas must be playing Atari."
