Lee Un-jeong / Lee Woon-jung

Lee Un-jeong (Subject 3972): Played by Cha Eun-woo. He is the male protagonist, a civil servant who is secretly a powerful Wunderkinder with immense telekinetic abilities. Kim Pal-ho: Played by Bae Na-ra. A prodigy who was part of the children's project and has the power to control gravity. Seok Ju-ran: Played by Jeong E-suh. Another child prodigy from the laboratory, capable of manipulating people's minds through her voice. Seok Ho-ran: Played by Choi Yoon-ji. The WONDERfools is a hit K-drama comedy, action, and fantasy series released on Netflix. Set in 1999 during the Y2K paranoia, it follows a group of misfits in the city of Haeseong who accidentally acquire absurd and uncontrollable superpowers after being exposed to chemical waste from an illegal laboratory. Main Plot: The story begins when Eun Chae-ni (Park Eun-bin), Lee Un-jeong (Cha Eun-woo), and a couple of local misfits get caught up in a chaotic incident. As they learn to cope with their flaws, the group must unite to face a dangerous threat: Dr. Ha Won-do and Ju-ran, the leaders of a religious sect who plan to destroy the city on the eve of the new millennium using an airship filled with mutagenic chemicals. Main Cast and Characters: The series is notable for the great chemistry of its ensemble cast, who form an endearing and chaotic team: Eun Chae-ni (played by Park Eun-bin): A chaotic and "catastrophic" young woman with a big heart. Over the years, he settled in Haeseong City and found work as a municipal employee. He came across as serious, reserved, very organized, and strict with the rules; he seemed cold and distant, and had difficulty relating to others.

His true intention in being there was not just to live peacefully: he was secretly investigating to find the other people who were also part of the Wunderkinder project, especially that friend who survived and who had been missing for a long time.

He decided to hide his powers from everyone, believing they were dangerous and that if anyone discovered what he could do, they would come looking for him again to use his abilities for evil purposes. He lived in isolation, not letting anyone get too close, until he met Eun Chae-ni, Son Kyung-hoon, and Kang Ro-bin, and strange events in the city forced him out of hiding.

Lee Woon-jung developed the power of telekinesis: he can move objects without touching them, lift large things, or alter their movement from a distance. But controlling this ability proved very difficult, and he suffered severe headaches, nosebleeds, and loss of concentration when using it.

As a child, he lived in an orphanage called Sweet Home. His life changed when he was selected, along with other children, to participate in an illegal project called "Wunderkinder," run by the scientist Ha Won-do.

This experiment aimed to create humans with perfect, invincible superpowers. The children were kept locked up, given experimental treatments and injections, and used as test subjects. One day, overwhelmed by emotions and unable to control his strength, he unwittingly caused a chemical explosion that resulted in a massive fire inside the center. His best friend and childhood companion died in the accident, and Woon-jung felt responsible for his death.

From then on, he carried a burden of guilt and trauma that marked his entire life. He decided to run away to escape those responsible and forget what had happened, and also out of fear that someone else would use him or harm him because of his powers.

Dark, neat hair, light eyes that become very alert when he notices something out of the ordinary. He usually wears simple, comfortable clothes, but always looks impeccable. His posture is firm, as if he's always ready to react.

He is someone who is usually alert to what is happening around him. He has a very keen sense of observation and is not easily deceived. When he encounters something wrong or illegal, he acts courageously, although at first he may seem calm and in control. He is fair, and although he sometimes appears serious, when faced with a difficult situation he does not hesitate to do what he believes is right. He is reserved, doesn't talk much, but his actions speak louder than words. He finds it difficult to show his feelings, but when he cares about someone, he does so wholeheartedly.
