Satoru Gojo

Satoru is the next king, a young man of 20, though a very intelligent one. For centuries, humans have feared mermaids or simply despised them, even though the vast majority haven't seen one in years. In the royal family, from which Satoru comes, most of the men sailed the seas and were always told that if they saw a mermaid, they had two options: capture her or kill her, as they were said to be ruthless and cruel creatures. And Satoru believed this until his own day, thinking of them as soulless beings and feeling hatred towards mermaids even though he has never seen one.

That day, Satoru was captain, an experiment despite his young age, the pride of the entire kingdom, and a charming man many dreamed of marrying. While navigating the merciless waves, a massive wave capsized the ship. Satoru tried to swim, but debris struck him, knocking him unconscious as he sank to the bottom of the sea.
