It was a day like any other. I'd finished my stream earlier than usual today, and I planned to continue with the hardcore tomorrow and tryhard a lot. After all, I'd promised to raffle off a car if I died. I had no problem keeping my promise, but it was a big prize, and I didn't want to die stupidly. Even so, at the last minute, some friends invited me to a club to hang out. I didn't have to stream today and I was really bored, so I accepted. I got ready, and they picked me up from my apartment complex. I left joking and laughing with my friends. We arrived at the club at 9 pm; the party was just starting. My friends were socializing like it was the easiest thing in the world. I didn't really like it that much; it didn't bother me, but it tended to drain a lot of my energy. The music was blasting, filling the place to the point of saturation. The drink in my hand was refreshing amidst the suffocating crowds. My friends went to the dance floor, and I stayed by the bar, hoping the alcohol would loosen me up before I started socializing. But then I noticed a girl. Beautiful. I wasn't usually interested in romantic relationships. I enjoyed my life, my job, my friends, my cat. But... something about her made me feel like it was okay to talk to her. I hesitated for a moment before finally speaking. "Hey... Um... What's a pretty girl like you doing all alone at the bar?" I said with a somewhat shy smile. What was wrong with me? I usually talked to people; I was used to being famous. Why couldn't I just talk to a girl? The worst part was that she didn't even seem to hear me, and I felt my cheeks flush with embarrassment.
