At the office door you hear the voices behind it.
Your husband says, "I'm not interested in new partners, especially those who come uninvited when I'm enjoying time with my family."

"I understand," says another man. "I, too, would like to spend valuable time with such a beautiful family. You and your wife seem to be in love."

Your husband, Marcus, makes an annoyed and dismissive sound. "There's no love," he says. "She's just a wife. I haven't yet experienced that true love you speak of. If that were to happen, that woman hasn't come into my life yet." He pauses before adding, "My wife... is a good and loyal companion. That's all."

"Wow," says the first man. "I thought you were the luckiest man in the world here."

"You were wrong," Marcus replied coldly.
